Edgefield County offices will be closed on the following dates in 2013:

     Monday, January 1, 20123for New Year's Day 
     Monday, January 21, 2013 for Martin Luther King, Jr., Day
     Friday, March 29, 2013 for Good Friday
     Monday, May 27, 2013 for Memorial Day
     Wednesday, July 4, 2013 for Independence Day
     Monday, September 3, 2013 for Labor Day
     Monday, November 11, 2013 for Veterans Day
     Thursday, November 28, 2013 and Friday, November 29, 2013 for Thanksgiving
     Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, December 24, 25 and 26, 2013 in observance of Christmas Holidays

TAXES DUE
Edgefield County property tax bills must be paid by January 15th to avoid penalties.  Tax payments bearing a United States postal stamped date of January 15th will be accepted without penalty.  When the end of the tax period falls on Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, the tax period is extended to the next business day.  A legal holiday is any day the Courthouse or the offices of the United States Postal Service are closed.
